Library

The library is the heart of all academic activities at the college. It aims to cater to the information needs of its users in their curricular, co-curricular, and extracurricular activities. The well-stocked and regularly updated resources and services primarily focus on providing the right information to users at the right time, utilizing the latest technological innovations.

  1. The library operates under the supervision of the librarian.
  2. It is open on working days from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
  3. Students must sign the attendance register at the library entrance.
  4. All students must register as library members and obtain a library card.
  5. A library card will be issued only once.
  6. Books can be borrowed by presenting the library card and must be returned within two weeks or by the date specified on the card.
  7. Fines will be imposed for late returns.
  8. Books cannot be lent to others.
  9. If a book is lost, twice the cost of the book will be charged as a fine.
  10. Students will be notified when books need to be returned for inventory or cataloging purposes.
  11. Reference books cannot be taken outside the library.
  12. Students must return their library cards on the last working day of the year and obtain a clearance certificate.
  13. A fine will be imposed if the library card is lost.
  14. The library can be accessed for competitive exam information and to apply for exams online.

Physical Education

  1. All students of the college are members of the Physical Education Club.
  2. The Principal is the chairman, and the Physical Education Director is the secretary of the Sports Committee, which also includes four sports supervisors, two student representatives, and a general leader for the sports group.
  3. The committee will meet to prepare the annual budget and organize sports events.
  4. The secretary will be responsible for purchasing, maintaining, and organizing the use of sports equipment, as well as convening the committee for emergencies.
  5. All expenses for sports activities will be met from the collected fees. The secretary may request funds in advance for organizing sports events with the Principal’s approval.

Rules

  1. Students are not allowed on the sports ground without appropriate attire.
  2. Students must not participate in any sports teams or competitions without the Physical Education Director’s permission.
  3. Students who do not attend classes regularly will not be allowed to join sports teams.
  4. Vehicles are not allowed on the sports ground.
  5. Students are responsible for any sports equipment provided to them.

College Clubs

Seven clubs related to various subjects are active in the college to help students develop their skills:

  1. Tamil
  2. English
  3. Mathematics
  4. Computer Science
  5. Economics
  6. Commerce
  7. Business Administration

National Service Scheme (NSS)

The college has two NSS units, each consisting of 100 students. These students must complete 120 hours of NSS activities and attend a 7-day special camp every academic year. NSS certificates offer advantages for police and other government jobs. Offers personality development programmes National Integration Camps, Republic day parades at Delhi. Our NSS Volunteers offer meritorious service such as blood donation camp tree plantation , crowd regulations awareness programmers, rally’s, observance of national important days for which University offers best unit best volunteers, and best program officers often.

Hostel Facilities

  1. Women’s hostel locates in an adjacent building and there are 170 Women students  stay in the women’s hostel run by Govt. of Tamilnadu
  2. Men’s hostel locates in the Crawford, Trichy, in which 60 of our students stay in.

For the both hostels, based on the merits students have been selected and offer admission in the hostel to stay in and precede their collegiate education
