Admission Rules for Students

  1. Student admissions in various courses are conducted each year according to the regulations set by the Government from time to time.
  2. Every student’s admission is temporary until confirmed by the university. If the university or Higher Education institutions do not accept the student’s admission, their name will be removed from the college, and any fees paid at the time of admission will not be refunded. The college will not be responsible for any financial loss or missed educational opportunities in such cases.

Identity Cards

  1. College has distributed identity cards to all the students who got enrolled in this college and Students are advised to wear their identity cards everyday while they enter the college. If students enter the college without an identity card will not be allowed entry into the college.

Transfer Certificate

  1. If Students need a transfer certificate and a conduct certificate, he/she has to apply in a designated form.
  2. To get a transfer certificate, Students should get clearance certificates from National Service Scheme, the office, library and from his/her concern department.
  3. If a student withdraws from college in the middle of a semester, they are not eligible to receive a refund of any fees paid.
  4. Transfer and conduct certificates will be issued if the student clears all his/her dues, including term fees, within one year of leaving the college or academic year.

Attendance Record

  1. As per the University regulations, a minimum of 90 working days is required for each semester.
  2. Students have to meet the university’s regulations requirements and allowed to take the exams.
  3. Students with 75-100% attendance will be allowed to take the exams without any penalty.
  4. Students with 65-74% attendance will be allowed to take the exams after paying a condonation fee.
  5. Students with 50-64% attendance must submit a medical certificate along with the condonation fee to be allowed to take the exams.
  6. Students with less than 50% attendance will not be allowed to write the exams under any circumstances.

Leave Application

Student leave applications should include the following details

  1. Student’s Name
  2. Class and Section
  3. Dates of leave requested
  4. Reason for leave
  5. Previous leaves taken
  6. Student’s signature
  7. Parent/Guardian’s signature
  8. Class Teacher’s signature

Laboratory Practical

  1. If students do not satisfactorily complete their laboratory practicals, the university will not issue them a certificate for the practical sessions.
  2. Students must pay due attention to complete their laboratory practicals in an orderly manner.
  3. In the practical, students are required to maintain lab discipline and not allowed to write notes on separate sheets.
  4. Only the lab record books provided by the respective department heads should be used by students are asked to maintain their records a neat manner.

Student Conduct

Students are asked to maintain their decorum and good behaviour both inside and outside the college campus to uphold the reputation of the student community and the institution.

  1. Every student should dress neatly.
  2. As a mark of respect, Each Students is advised to greet their teachers when they meet them in the college premises.
  3. Male Students should are asked to avoid ear studs, rings, nylon wires/ropes on their wrist, knees and advised to keep dress code par with college
  4. Students are advised to stand up when teachers enter or leave the classroom.
  5. Students should not leave the classroom unless the teacher permits to leave them.
  6. Students should not loiter on the corridors while class hours and strictly advised not to loiter in the College premises too.
  7. If classes are not being held, students should go to the library quietly.
  8. Students must walk silently when moving from one class to another.
  9. Students are not allowed to join any club or organization without the Principal’s permission. They should not engage in any activities that disrupt social harmony.
  10. Students are not permitted to organize or participate in meetings either on or off-campus without the Principal’s approval, nor are they allowed to collect any donations.
  11. Disciplinary action will be taken against students who misbehave in and around the class and in the college premises.
  12. All notifications will be communicated through the college notice board and by circular. Students should check the notice board every morning and evening. If Fail to do so, will not be considered an excuse for missing the important information.
  13. Students should pay your attention to announcements made through circular.
  14. Students must park their vehicles in designated areas by 9:50 AM, subject to space availability.
  15. Students must submit their assignments to the respective teachers on time and should regularly check the notice boards for updates.
  16. Students must arrive at college on time and attend classes promptly. Latecomers must obtain permission from the department head before entering the class.
  17. while college hours, students are asked to avoid to meet the administrative office without proper reason.
  18. Leave applications should be submitted to the Class Teacher.
  19. Applications for railway or bus fare concessions, conduct or academic certificates should be submitted to the Principal through the Class Teacher.
  20. Students must not write or scribble on walls or desks, or distribute flyers in classrooms. Any violations will result in severe disciplinary action.
  21. The use of mobile phones by students within the college campus is strictly prohibited. For the purpose of UMIS, Nanmuthalvan, Puthumai Penn, Tamil Puthalvan You are advised to bring Mobile Phone not for recreation if found the student users  will face disciplinary action, and the phones will be confiscated with a fine imposed.

Note: Students who violate discipline or misbehave will be subject to disciplinary action by the Principal, according to government education regulations. Punishments may include:

  1. As per the proceedings of University, Directions of Directorate of College Educations,  Continuous internal tests will be conducted each semester by which students’ marks are taken into account of consideration of IA Marks[ refer university proceedings]
  2. Students who miss the internal exams without a valid reason will not permit to write university examinations

College Library

The well-stocked 7000 resources and magazines [daily’s, monthly’s, fortnightly’s, yearly’s] are available in our library to  update students and prepare them for the fourth coming competitive examinations with the latest technological innovations.

  1. The library operates under the supervision of the librarian.
  2. It is open on working days from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
  3. Students must sign the attendance register at the library entrance.
  4. All students must register as library members and obtain a library card.
  5. A library card will be issued only once.
  6. Books can be borrowed by presenting the library card and must be returned within two weeks or by the date specified on the card.
  7. Books cannot be lent to others.
  8. If a book is lost, twice the cost of the book will be charged as a fine.
  9. Students will be notified when books need to be returned for inventory or cataloguing purposes.
  10. Reference books cannot be taken outside the library.
  11. Students must return their library cards on the last working day of the year and obtain a clearance certificate.
  12. A fine will be imposed if the library book is lost.
  13. The library can be accessed for competitive exam information and to apply for exams online.

Physical Education/Sports Committee

  1. All the students are asked top join the sports.
  2. The committee will meet to prepare the annual budget and organize sports events.
  3. The sports in charge [staff member] responsible for purchasing, maintaining, and organizing the use of sports equipment, as well as convening the committee for emergencies.
  4. All expenses for sports activities will be met from the collected fees. The secretary may request funds in advance for organizing sports events with the Principal’s approval.
  5. Students are not allowed on the sports ground without appropriate attire.
  6. Students must not participate in any sports teams or competitions without the Physical Education Director’s permission.
  7. Students who do not attend classes regularly will not be allowed to join sports teams.
  8. Vehicles are not allowed on the sports ground.
  9. Students are responsible for any sports equipment provided to them.

The following associations of the department’s, every year the association of the dept. conducts programmes, seminors, workshops, and special lectures etc., seven clubs related to various subjects are active in the college to help students develop their skills

National Service Scheme (NSS)

There are two NSS units, male and female wing each wing consists of 100 student volunteers in the college. The student volunteers should complete 120 hours of NSS activities and attend a 7-day special camp every academic year. NSS certificates offer a special advantage to join PG Degree, B.ED., Degree, and armed forces. NSS offers personality development programme, leadership programme, National Integration Camps, Republic day parades at Delhi. College conducts Eye Donation, Blood Donation Camps, Teachers Day,  NSS Day, Children’s Day, Independence Day, Republic Day, Marathan, Samathuva Pongal, Road Safety week, Drug awareness rallys, Women Legal Rights awareness campaign, Swach Bharath campaign, Voters Day and Consumer Day.  Our NSS Volunteers render meritorious service such as Tree Plantation, Crowd Regulations in festival sessions. University / Government of Tamil Nadu offer best unit, best volunteers, and best programme officers awards/honours every year.

HOSTEL FACILITIES

  1. Women’s hostel locates in an adjacent building and there are 170 Women students  stay in the women’s hostel run by Govt. of Tamilnadu   and the scrirutiny of hostel applicants made by the district collectorate. Similarly,
  2. men’s hostel locates in the Crawford, Trichy, in which 70 of our students stay in.

For the both hostels, based on the merits students have been selected and offer admission in the hostel to stay in and precede their collegiate education
